I have one of these older cars in my collection,and actually raced it last week. I've never raced on-road before,so even with a 19x2 Fireball motor in it,I was left way behind.It turned out,that I only had a 22T pinion installed,which would explain why,even after 4 packs,used one after the other,the motor was barely warm.Now the question,how big a pinion can I fit to this car in order to get a decent pace out of her?(By the way,brushless isn't an option).

It depends on the track you're running at. Your goal would be to have the car reach top speed around about the halfway mark on the straight or to have it geared to last you the amount of time of the race plus a minute or so.

Try going up by about two teeth at a time and see how it feels then when you run it. Keep checking motor temperature every two-three minutes if you are weary of the gearing you've got it on to make sure things aren't burning up.

Note the size of the original Japan shocks,they are so small,that it only takes 6 drops of oil to fill them. :o

wow i hope you still are active on here.. Me my self have been trying to find a Car like this forawhile now(you'll see why below lol)

but yea i found one of these awhile ago and been trying to find one like it since(about a year now actually)

been through a bit(lol) setup for drifting at the moment..when i had street tires o it it went about 30 with a 12turn motor and 23/104 gearing. mainly wondering on how rare these are or if they are in general.


anyway kinda random but yea...

EDIT: just read your profile says your still active now if you even still won it lol(but the car on your profile looks like it has the same rims thats on this in the thread
