It may work without any booster, but I have not tested myself. Link;) (http://www.rctech.net/forum/11959382-post437.html)

The upgraded board do handle 3.7 - 7.4 v input: LRP (http://www.lrp.cc/en/products/electronic-speed-controls/competition/brushless/produkt/upgrade-kit-sxx-sxx-mod-stock-regler/details/). Take a look at the specs:drool:. So I guess no booster needed.

No, the internal electronics will function just like with the Tekin RS, but will only supply the 1S power to the receiver and servo which may or not work and will certainly slow down your servo.

Checked the manual now, it says no integrated booster for 1S applications... So grab a booster or receiver pack:)
