I've been running my H2 Pro since January - racing indoors at York. I've only just switched my rear to mid-motor and although my first test drive was great, racing last night showed way too much front end grip - the car was spinning on its nose and even on carpet was a pig.

Has anyone got any advice on how to calm it down? I've been running Mini Spikes F&R and have Losi springs - Blue Front and Yellow Rear.

Or do I just have to change my driving style now I've gone mid-motor?

What shock oil/piston set up are you running?

First thing I would do is put cut stagger tyres on the front

Also I woild put 2-4mm under the front in we ball stud, this calms the front end down.

Also what kick up shim do you have under the hinge pin brace? The angled version or the flat version? Most of the guys who run them use the flat shim

Hi

I've done the washers under the ball stud. I'm running 30/25 wt oil in the F/R. I started out with 35/30 but another 2wd racer suggested going down. It worked well in rear motor.

I'm using the flat plate/shim at the front.

I think the staggered front tyres is the next thing. The front just digs-in, whether on carpet or polished floor. The shift to mid-motor has given it much more front grip.

Thanks

Deffo put some staggers on it and give it a run. Then make 1 change at a time and see how the car reacts.

I'm using Bens set up on here but blue and pink losi 22 springs and its going very well.

I race with the boy genius Ben at York but he wasn't around to last to ask / weep on his shoulder. Seriously, I wanted to cry.

A mate who runs a Durango 210 has had the same issues, running well one week and screaming at the car the next. He suggested the tyre thing too. The front just grips and the whole car pivots round it.

I ran mine for the first time this weekend at West Bridgford (carpet track) and there car felt perfectly balanced. I had it set up as per Ben's in the "setups" section, except for the following:
cut staggers on front
mini pins on rear
kit pistons
35 wt losi oil and losi blue springs on front
30 wt losi oil and losi pink springs on rear
front shock in middle hole on tower
rear shock in outer hole on arms

Best thing you can do is Put low profile cut stagers on the front cut rim to slim and no inserts did this to my losi 22 wot a transformation

running well one week and screaming at the car the next.

I found that grip was a bit all over the place on Sat too. It didn't seem to get as grippy towards the end of the night as usual. I'm sure the outside temperature has an effect on things.
