Last(1st) 4wd regional at silverstone. I could not make it, so cancelled the entry via the email link.
Confirmation given. All good.

Now i notice i am flagged at PREPAY, in Blue.

So, whats the crack?

Does the email link to cancel the entry not work any longer?

Cancellation still works fine, confirmation you recieve is that yor "request" has gone through only (and the asterix to confirm that is placed next to your name to notify the club also)...

Entries for each meeting close at midnight on the Friday before any regional meeting and as per the paper entry form any cancellations after closure need to be made "direct" to the hosting club via phone or email by 6:30pm on the Saturday evening. Sadly, a cancelled entry any time after this stands minimal chance of being seen by the organising club in time to do anything about it, especially since in this case all of their club officials were at their track for their winter series race and preparations for the following day which is most likely why Silverstone have flagged you still as a no-show.....

Just call the club up to pay for your next entry in advance of this weekend and you will be fine....

thanks for the explanation. but sadly often i wont know i cant make it till the day before. So the system wont work for me.

Best i just remove all my entries then, from all regionals and just turn up and pay/play from now on as there never full.

anyone got a sensible answer? to a serious question as above please.

Darren , have you "pre-paid" (in advance of the meeting) at any of the clubs for any of your regionals thus far (since your no-show), if you have then your entry should be reverted back to normal, if you have'nt then there lies your answer.

At both Silverstone and TORCH I was handed a list of no-shows by both clubs to administer, but at neither have I been told of any red/blue entries from anyone that need to go back to normal...




(I thought one of your last posts said you would not be booking-in in advance on our "out of date" system for any more since you could not commit to any before the saturday anyhow :confused:)

I said some. plans change all the time so when i know i can race i book in, simple really. hence why i removed all my entries for this reason. regardless of this or that, I have paid and arrived at the meetings i have booked into last 2. I am prepaid to the SHRCCC one anyway. so why do i still have a blue Reserve?

Darren, get a grip mate.... None of us who help to run the region single ANYONE out, we are simply here to try and help run the regions racing for all of the racers in our spare time. If you have pre-paid for your next meeting then it is up to THE CLUB to tell us so, no-one has even mentioned your name to any of us as yet so how would we know you are paid?

Reason there are people showing as reserves is simply because they are all new to the system, no other reason and they have to get manually approved before their entry is accepted, and like most this weekend I have not been indoors glued ot the PC waiting for new race entries to come in but instead out and about enjoying the long weekend and good weather.......

Have a little read of your posts above, you are the one who said you had to remove ALL your entries, not me. The comments I referred to were not ALL made on oOple, people do talk and "share" you know....

Anyway, get the club to confirm you have paid and all is good and we perhaps we should very much look forward to your possible suggestion of an all new free of charge (to the clubs), flawless entry system that you no doubt will wish to provide at this Sundays drivers breifing then ;)

Edit: Just had an email from the club, saying you had not yet paid for your entry, but that they will get the money off you this Thursday at their club meeting, as soon as this is confirmed I will get the entry actioned for you.

All, I know I'm going to regret posting, however I just wanted to say a couple of things.

Let Darren run his business rather than writing essays on here in response to the same old s@&t!
Darren, Keith and others devote an unbelievable amount of time to running this series which I believe to be one of if not THE best around!
The booking system comes with simple rules, just bloody stick to them and not question them all the time.
The booking in system comes FREE OF CHARGE and I guarantee you Darren wouldn't mind one bit if we PAY an outsider to take care of it next season. However, if this was to happen race fees will increase and that would open another door for people to start other pointless threads!
