I know this is a very common problem but is there any tricks to keeping one way outdrives on the car when the drive shafts pop out. mine came out twice at the weekend. im plannin on replacin all the ball cups to try an tighten up everything but is there a trick to keeping them attached to the car even if the shafts come out???

Hey there dude,

I found the best to use when I run the one-way in my B44 I pop 2 shock o-rings in each out-drive which are then sandwiched between the drive-shaft and out drive. This stops the out-drives from moving out the one-way. Or a small piece of soft foam to take up that slack will do the job.

Hope this is some help.

put an extra 1mm shock limiter in each shock and your driveshafts shoudn't pop out at all!

Will if you pop a ball joint or snap a wishbone!!

If I do either I make sure I stop quick as I can, reduces the chance of the outdrive coming out and if it does reduces the area I have to search trying and find it!!

Well thats obvious but it will prevent the outdrives from popping out under any flex of the car as it's happened to me in the past and 1mm hasn't made any real difference to the car handling, run full droop at the greater risk, your choice! £20 for 2 outdrives if you lose one! 1mm isn't going to make much difference at all maybe a fraction worse on bumps but less risk of outdrives popping out unless you break your car.
