Hi

I'm thinking of coming to race on Sunday but don't have a personal transponder yet, could you tell me how much they are to hire?

Thanks

£5 to hire as a non member. However, if you sign up to join the club at £10 for the year then the first three hires are free.

In addition, being a member will save you £2/race meeting, so it is soon recovered.

I was thinking of coming along Sunday myself. In which case I've got 20 AMB handouts sat in front of me, but I expect bringing them might upset someone.

Yes you will, Eric will have to manually delete the club harry pt numbers and then enter the amb20 bugs, then afterwards re enter the club harry bugs. So I'd guess it will be more hassle that Eric and the club doesn't need.

How does that work?
Can't see how the club's Harrys should get in the way - handout bugs are just code numbers same as all the others. MRT's 'spare' numbers correspond to handout bugs anyway.
Not a complaint, just curious.
I'll speak to Eric if I come down. I'm still learning this stuff.

The clubs harry bugs are set where the amb bugs where. So to manually delete them entrees then to type in ten new ones prior to racing and then after racing really enter the club Harry's takes time. Time which everyone will have to wait.
If you wish to talk to Eric wait until the racing starts and leave your amb20's at home.
If that's not clear please come and chat to me first.

Thats what I intended. I wasn't going to slow down booking in - its not like I don't know how difficult it can be!
I wasn't planning on using the AMBs - its just that I knew you guys used to have a set and have switched to hand-out Harrys. I'd figured it was because the AMB's had reached the end of their working life, I didn't consider that the two wouldn't work together.

If you use Handouts as Handouts,(cars 1 to 10 ) then the system needs to learn which ones which.
It you are using them as a PT (Driver keeps same handout all day) then it’s just a case of booking them in using the serial number on the handout. Our old handouts had passed their sell by date so we traded them in for Harrys. Plus I was getting earache from Her indoors for sticking them on charge every week.

Thats kinda what I was suggesting - using a handout as a 'PT'.

My wife doesn't moan about me charging them, but my nearly 3 year old does think they make great counting bricks. So it actually suits me to remove them from the house when I'm not there......
