hello again :)
i'm currently running a b44 and it's awesome. so good in fact, that I'm considering buying a second car to take with me as a spare.
is this a good idea or just a total waste of money.....?

yeah a spare car isnt a bad idea.
you could have one for regionals and one for club days
or a back up car for when things go wrong at cobra or Caldicot :):)

my veiw is imagine turning up at a race meeting braking a part in round 1 that you have not got as a spare and u cant get 1 your day is over so if uyou can afford a spare car u can carry on just my thought
Waste in my opinion,
save the cash and buy the bits that will break as spares, no 2 cars feel exactly the same.

LOL!
this isn't what I need to hear, as I'm fairly set on buying one.
I've found a shop in HK with very attractive prices.... and I'm seriously considering doing a full national campaign next year (assuming I can get entry). it's something I've wanted to do since I was 13.

waste of time IMO, to break a b44 chasis takes a lot of effort and almost any other repair on that car only takes 1/2 an hour.
remember you have to get radio gear servo motor speedo etc also the cars wont handle exactly the same as each other.
may be worth concidering having spare prebuilt and set up diffs, turnbuckles and any other fiddly sub assembly that you may brake though.

in that case buy the spare car and seperate it into rebuildable parts i.e chassis diff assys etc( see my earlier post)
with the chassis unless you are going to have a spare speedo and motor servo etc simply put double sided tape in the corect place so if the worst happens you simply pull off and restick.

I agree with Lee aswell, buy a shed load of spares instead
Sell the B44.... get a DB-01 and you won't need spares :woot: lol
