Looks VERY nice. May even get one :woot: Love the carbon wishbones, I wonder if they will make an appearance in a future offroad cars. Touring cars look very much the same from company to company, trust Schumacher to come up with something different. Liking the adjustability and all the weight distribution options. Good stuff from the Schui guys

This is sure quite different - really clever stuff, I love it  Clearly a Schumacher, too! :)
Awesome stuff Schumi!

Schumacher always like to innovate - which I think is great.
Shame that I am jinxed with Schumachers, and have decided to go off-road.

Looks like someone has had a close look at the Awesomatix A700 and the WRC STX.
Good to see a big company making something different instead of leaving it to the small specialists.

Car looks great! Might get me back to Onroad Racing.
Mid Motor design, and also possible to use Shorty packs, sounds intresting for Stock Class and Tight Tracks.
Damn You Wallet, why u empty?

I find the motor very eccentric, why put the spur gear most on the left???
I think the previous motor mount was better...

Why not put the spur gear there?? It's the same place that all of the team ran it on the entire Mi4 series of cars

Probably it has something to do with optimizing the weight balance L vs. R - if it was hampering performance I am pretty sure they wouldn't leave it on there for the production car (unless of course there was no other way to construct the car) :)
And that last point might be the case: Notice that the pulley is only fixed on one side (the motor mount). The further the spur gear is away from the fixed side of the axle, the bigger the bending moment on the post that the axle is fixed to. This means more stresses, and even if the construction is strong enough, also more displacement. I would say that more displacement/flex (even with a rigid aluminium structure) easily puts the mesh those fined teethed spur gear and motor pinion out of line, and results in awkward belt tensions that you can't properly adjust the car for on the pit table.
If the situation above is indeed why Schumacher moved the spur gear close to the motor mount, then you can assume that optimizing the chassis' flex properties with a mount on just one side did more to the performance than moving the motor slightly further outside could hurt it, right? :D
