View Full Version : DEX410 center driveline imbalance?
http://youtu.be/ScuRNEQjw3A
Guys, is this normal?
Have I done something wrong with the build?
It runs fine, just seems a bit excessive this imbalance. And a bit noisy.
I'm also thinking this could cause more wear.
(This is the original DEX410, with an Atomic-Carbon Ultra carbon chassis)
Cheers

This might help, there are 3 screws on the back part of the center mounts loosen them off then make sure the middle spur gear is nice and free and runs smooth then tighten them up. I have found that if you build it with out it being all together then can be a little off. Also make sure that the center drive shafts are free no binding this also makes that bit wobble in the middle. Let us know how you get on.
I would also take the centre slipper apart and make sure no parts seems bent..thats quick a wobble in the centre section, expecially the rear half of the slipper assembly/outdrive

I know on mine i had to line the 2 housings up the using the spur Assembly. But that wobble looks like it is coming form the rear center shaft like it is locking when it turns round also a problem if not set up right.
Thx! I'll give that a try!
Hmmmm... tried to look at this yesterday. Could not see anything I can loosen in order to adjust anything really.
I also got feedback from some fellow norwegian racers that they have the same issue.
My car has been run just a couple of packs, so it's like new. And this was there from the beginning.

The bit you need to loosen is the rear part of the slipper/spur gear housing there is 2 screws under and one with a black sleeve on that holds them together . Loosen them with the spur still in place make sure it all lines up then do them up still with slipper spur still in it. This will also help line up the clip that holds the spur in place what can be hard to get in.
