hi
i am thinking about getting a predator as i am looking to progress in my driving in 4wd and the guys at team xtreme seem very helpful also as they are uk based it is really usefull. but i need some help as i have enough money to get a xrs now but what are the benefits of the x11 over the xrs and x10 and also how does it compare to other 4wd buggies such as the b44 which i have at the moment.

any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Hi there!

The X11 in my opinion a much more reliable and stronger car, i have an X10 which i raced last year and it was very rare to get a whole days racing done without a breakage!

The X10 was stupidly quick, but i couldnt push it as hard as i would of liked due to the risk of smashing it to bits! This is my first year with the X11 and its been a tough introduction to the car at times! However towards the later part of the season i could/can see the difference between the two cars and alot of that is knowing the X11 is a stronger car so i can push it more and gain better results!

I would easily say the X11 is as strong as any car out there today, but every car has its weak points!

There are many subtle changes to the X11 which just make it that much better than the X10!

If you can stretch your budget to an X11, do it! If not, you'll buy an xrs and end up spending more money on it making it close to the X11 spec.

I have run a B44 a couple of times this season and i do prefer the X11... i find the B44 "boring" to drive whereas the X11 is a pleasure and the better you do when it comes to results, the more rewarding it is! (when compared to the B44)

If you need any more info feel free to PM me!

Cheers Tom

just to agree with tom the x11 is alot stronger than the older preds which in turn means u can feel safer pushing it which the car loves to be done also team xtreme are always testing and devolping the x11 which can only be good and as thats the car the team runs they we will all help u as much as possible :)

the x11 an amazing car... it is very easy to work on and a pleasure to drive.. and you get way better quality parts when you get the x11.. and all of the updates on the car alone is well worth the extra money.. just trying to convert the xrs to x11 spec will put you well over the price of an x11 kit.
my advice is save alittle more and go for the x11 it is the same car that the team runs and you will be alot happier performance wise as well as strength..

hope this helps.

I dont think it does come with the new shocks Lee, They are bought as an upgrade.

Wouldnt you be curious to try one for a few meetings Lee? ;)

I have always said if someone gave me one to run for a few meetings i would do, but i cant see that happening :(

I have never even had a lap with any pred other than the TC version which was dire

actually i can tell you that the car does not drive upside down.. lol also the new shocks do not come in the kit.. they are an optional part.

also the upright servo is a mod that you can do and they do not have a kit for this mod yet.. but it is very easy to do and you can talk to lewis and i am sure he can tell you how to do it.. i have done the same mod to my car but only because it is a pain to put a brushless speedo in the car but once figured out it is all good.

Hi, i can most certainly agree on everything everyone else has already said so far. I only started racing last september and in that time i have gone through an XRS and an X10 and got fed up with both! They seemed to be constantly falling apart, nuts and bolts coming loose and generally a tad unreliable. Admittedly some of the falling apart was probably down to me being new to the sport and having a few tumbles here and there but i always maintained the car meticulously! Even then i seemed to be living at Xtreme rc buying spares!!. I have now moved on to running a B44 and so far its been faultless!! Also i find it easier to drive, perhaps again due to not having a great deal of experience.
My FORCC pit mate, Mark Marshall has just become a team driver for Team Xtreme this year and he seems to be having much more luck with the X11!, the car doesn't seem to have the same issues as previous versions and looks fantastic out on track! Its also the finest looking car in the world!

although biased as a team driver, i can definatly back up what everyone has said. save you money and get the x11. you will find it a lot easier to keep up with what the team are doing in terms of set ups and hopups as they come through. the back up from xtreme is fantastic either through lewis and yanina or through any of the team members and you will find all the help you need either online or trackside (if a driver is there) so buy with confidence knowing that the product and the back up is exceptional

oh and Lee Mag. you are more than welcome to have a go of a pred at any time. all ya have to do is ask ;)

thanks i have been on the pred website on the forum and yanina has give me some help in deciding to get the x11 mainly the list of thing i would need and how much it was gunna cost me to upgrade either the xrs or the x10 to the standard of the x11 and tha main factor for me was that it is uk based and the support should be there rather than associated which i am getting quite bored of now but like he x6 there should be alot of support as i have seen both in this forum and in the pred forum with setups and other things like that

After initial frustration with the car (well it was the first time i ran it...) im extremely happy with the car now.. ive only been running it a few weeks so still getting used to it.. But its improveing with everytime i run it..

If you decide to buy one, there are plenty of people who wil be able to help you out with any questions, set ups etc

Ive had plenty of help from quite a few people already with regards set ups and tips... from the regional i went to on Sunday ive come away again with tips to make it better over the bumpy stuff! So ive made a few more adjustments ready for its next time out, which i have to say im lookng forward to!!

Ive accumulated plenty of spares for the car now, so i would be more than happy to help you out should the unexpected happen :)

Any questions just get in touch...

Cheers

Nick
