What are people's experience of the turnigy batteries in 1/8th e. What kind of life span do they have?

I run 10th buggy and been running turnigy batteries for over a year with no performance drop off. They are excellent value

I have found them very good, still running the 2 packs I have which have outlived more expensive packs I have used.

I run a 1/8th Rallycross buggy (Losi for 2 seasons & Hyper 9E at present), I've used a Turnigy Nano-Tech 14.8v (25-50c) for the past 3 seasons without any problems:thumbsup:.

On a more serious note, the 3 or 4 people I know/have seen with 8th electrics have all been running turnigy batteries. Either the "proper" 4s ones, or pairs of 2s.

Harder on electrics... not really sure on that, many rx8 users don't even use a fan and with the 4 and 6 pole motors, the electrics run cooler in my (now sold) 8th than in the 1/10 2wd/4wd buggys

Nanotechs are great lipos and can really can recommend them.

I have run mine for a while now.

every time I charge them up I balance change them but to your question, I am supper happy with them.

the price for performance is one of the best out there. also hobbyking replace them if they are not right *with in reason*

I use it in my 1/8th but I run a 2 X 2s setup not the 4s setup.

what esc and motor are you going to be running??

Just started running them in my DEX408 and very pleased. Great run times and very punchy! Just need the BRCA seal of approval now!

Hi mate.
I run the a spec nano tech 6200mah stick packs in the durango i had. Absolutely superb loads of punch and power.
I run all my cars on nano techs. Best lipos i have had.

i also run nanotechs, top batteries with loads of punch and hold a great charge, i use the 6000mah 65c - 130c 7.2v ones, ive had them over a year and still as good as the day i got them with no problems

I have been using them in my 1/8th racers, buggy and truggy as well as boats which have even more amp draw for over 4 years. I have used 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6s in Basic turnegy and nanotech labels and they are GREAT!

I have been used various nanotech batteries in touring car, 17.5 blinky, and 13.5 boosted. The discharge rating on them is nowhere near as they state it. They are nice, but DO NOT charge them over 1C, or they will fade very very quickly, and they'll loose all their punch, and the car will feel utterly "flat". They are brilliant batteries for the price, I raced almost 2 seasons with them(1 summer, and 1 winter series), and they lasted for pretty long(the fact, that they cost only £30-ish, makes them replaceable for every 2.nd race), but if you want performance, and a spot in the A main, forget these batteries, they can not compete against the big brands. Guys with better batteries pulled away from me in the straight from the corner like I was standing there... Their car was not faster in top speed, but acceleration wise the difference was crazy.

All in all, awesome bashing battery and excellent beginners racing battery, I would still recommend it.

How have you determined the C rating is not as specified?

Depending on which "A Main" you are referring to, I know plenty of chaps that use Turnigy lipo's and are consistently in club level A finals and do very well at regionals too...

Funny that, i can't tell the difference between the nanotechs and my 90 quid a pair Orion saddles...... until i take the shell off.

Performance is no different to any of the other "top" brand batteries. I have used them along side Orion and LRP cells and there is no difference.

More than likely the same cells anyway.
