Thats ace Neal... I wish you'd kept recording though so we could see the rescue mission! Maybe an air rescue with your quad copter!lol :woot:

I've got a Blackjack29, but only run 4s but with a bigger X445 cnc'd prop, I would be very careful running 6s, the ESC is rated to that voltage but the motor isn't

Ha, Danny did suggest the quad, but i suggested he take a swim ;-)

5 min wait, and it drifted to the side. Need a second boat to send out as a rescue tug, which will speed things up.

Ah good to know. Motor wasn't hot at all after the runs, but the 3S batteries and deans connectors/wires were warm.
Warmer were my 2wd buggy 2S 65C packs.

Interested in more details on the prop. Have you swapped your motor?

I have a large hull of Donald Campbells Bluebird if anyones interested in a fast water project?

With todays brushless and lipo power systems, it would really move.

I used to race Naviga M Class back in the day. 10cc glow engine IIRC. Here's a taster...

I think you might be able to see why I gave it up and switched to RC cars! There is a lot of skill involved but the course isn't exactly the type of challenge I was looking for!

Check out the Model Power Boat Association - their gas-engine classes go up to 35cc and 80+ mph - crazy!! :wtf:
