What are the options for getting the front of the TM2 in the BRCA box with low profile staggers fitted?

What size is the BRCA box? I know the rule is 250mm, is there a standard tolerance for the box? The front axles on the TM2 look more than 250mm against a setup board, so I'm not sure how it would fit in regardless of tyres.

The hubs themselves look very wide moving the centre line of the tyre out slightly away from the hinge pin, which seems strange from a design point of view.

Someone mentioned using 3mm wide bearings (stock is 4mm) in the hubs and filing them down a bit. Seems like a nice solution and minimises alignment changes. But I notice a lot of people mentioning alternative hubs/axles.

Kyosho 4wd front wheels with the rear edge taken off and cut the axles down, or use full height cut staggers on standard rims, thats what i do and i have at least 6mm clearance in the box.

I picked up some 5x10x3 bearings. These along with 1mm of spacing behind the axle clip and filing the hub flush with the bearing reduces the width 1mm each side.

It was a perfect fit into the BRCA box with low profile staggers.
