Hi Grant

I saw your dad "bust the move" and was immediately worried for him. Fortunately I didnt hear the crack, but heard his yelp of pain from inside race control!!!

LMK if you need anything for the National as there are enough of us to help out...

Glad you got him sorted out and wish him well from Paula and I.

Hope to see Team Williams soon...

Matt and Paula

Sorry to hear that it did actually break and wasn't 'only' twisted as your dad thought / hoped - but the sound was sickening - very similar to the sound that the B4 front end makes when that breaks also.

I'd like to say that my lacklustre performance today was due to me being upset after witnessing Mike's nasty fall but I can't - it's just because I was rubbish.

Anyhow- get well soon Mike and Grant - we'll make sure that you'll cope without your star mechanic at the national.

If you're stuck for transport then pm me - I can give you a lift there but I'll be coming away on the sat evening.

I heard the news at the track about the break, i did think it sounded worse than a twisted ankle, i heard the noise from the rostrum.

I hope it get sorted quickly.

Ouch, nasty one. I was sat at my pit table about 10 metres from where Mike slipped on the track and I heard the crack. I just assumed it was "another" wishbone at the time, it was not until I looked around and saw the crowd of people around him who eventually helped you off the track that I realised what had happened.

After you the slip earlier in the day you tend to think that it is just or twist or somthing, it wasnt until DC showed me the text with the Xray that you relaised just how bad it really was.

Hope you mend quickly and as pain free as possible.

Mike,

I know how slippery astro was today, I went down at EPR this AM but my glutious maximus (?), considerable as it is before anybody says anything, saved the day!

Best wishes from Chris, myself and all at EPR, get well soon mate, maybe it's time us more senior participants let the younger ones do all the running around!

Grant - that is more bad news for your dad...

Dont worry about Stotfold. Pitch your tent close to our EZ Up and we will look after you one way or another or alternatively, we can make space for you inside. There are plenty of us to help out.

Gutted for you both matey - as teams go, the pair of you are fantastic and work together better than any other father/son relationships I've ever known.

I reckon that new black hoodie he was wearing had summit to do with it - making him want to get down on the track and back spin like that!!

Joking apart - anything me or any of the other Essex Mafia can do for you - just let us know.

Not just for the Nat but anytime there after also.

Keep us up to date with his progress / recovery.

Take Care
