gauging interest 210 front shock tower

I've been trying to order a aluminum front shock tower for several weeks for a dex210 without any luck so I'm considering having a batch made, would anyone be interested??

Have you looked at the RDRC tower? Your other option would be carbon, maybe Cream could make you one out of alloy with his mounts. You could always just go carbon, my Cream tower (anodized black for a stealthy look) has been holding up great so far.

The rd one is the one I have had on order for over a month, they are out of stock and there is no indication of any more being made according to dms. I've seen the cream ones but as my son has gone thru a tower every meeting until I made a support for it I thought the aluminum one would be a better option

4mm carbon with alloy mounts is extremely strong, just be sure to seal the edges, and keep an eye on it as the corners wear.the alloy ones probably won't bend but are heavy.

There are a few in stock "elsewhere". Think i found some in germany.

The cream front towers are plenty strong enough though, i've only swapped from cream to RDRP on the front as i really wanted fit and forget and a matched pair (i broke a couple of Cream rear towers in the space of 6 months, as opposed to the stock towers going once a fortnight).

And the replacement cream CF piece is only 9 quid(?) so a front tower kit and a spare CF piece will cost you ~£25 and last a year or more......

Yes the RDRP hardened alloy towers are out of stock across the UK at present and have been for a few weeks now, we have no firm date when they are due to be back in (but that does not mean it will necassarily be ages, we juts simply don't know if it is days or weeks) but as has already been said there are lots of other good alternatives aftermarket towers out there for the DEX210 that are all far stronger than the kit plastic item.

DMS Partz
Exotek Racing
Team SR

I would guess that the wait from RDRP is linked to the fact they are also releasing the towers in the new black colour too and I would guess they have been sent off to be either hard anodised or black anodised all in one large batch.

Can I point out when spennyy2k says he's going through towers every meeting, He's on about the original towers not mine.



hypersonic77, Some people seal the edges with superglue. Personally I've never felt the need to and I don't know of anyone that has had a complaint with my towers delaminating.

Superglue. Put it on a cotton bud then run it along all the edges. It helps prevent the carbon fiber delaminating (the layers seperating).

I've emailed rdrp directly as I'm wanting some and the new batch which are black will be in the uk in about six weeks :)
