So I know this really is subjective, depends on how much someone is prepared to pay etc etc
Im thinking about thinning out some of my fleet and have a top cat. All the plastics at the front end are new and it has the complete MMS gearbox that includes diff, lay shaft, alloy outer gearbox surround, alloy eccentric housing & alloy top layshaft bearing holders
If its not worth a huge amount if can go back in the loft
Thanks

There's a little bit of chit chat in this thread on Top Cat values, nothing concrete though.

I'd be starting at £150 for a good condition complete and working used roller, the closer to standard and new built the more it should be worth and vice versa.
Of course examples will come up for sale cheaper generally by sellers that don't know what they have or for models that need so much restoration they prove to be uneconomical.

Here you go:-

I think that was a good price for a listing with not much of a description of condition and few pictures.

TopCat's really don't seem to come up very often (although there was the one mentioned above & a fair few TopCat specific spares etc that have come up on ebay recently), so its quite difficult to guage how much these things fetch as each ebay auction pretty much has a captive audience.
Belsten, your TopCat sounds like a cool car (the TC is one of my all time favs)... would love to see some pictures of it

As Ferretti said, the closer it is to standard the better in terms of value. That said if the option parts fitted are made by Schumacher, alloy eccentrics etc, this will greatly increase the cars value. Back in the day the MMS diffs was seen as a good improvement over the standard parts so this shouldn't impact on it's value too much. Without seeing any pics i'd say between 170-200 would be a fair price. Try to find Jeroen on here or Tamiya Club. He has a number of perfectly restored Top Cats and will be able to give a pretty accurate valuation for you.
