viny is there any reason to suspect the theft was rc related or just a scumbag who took anything they could ?

BTW if I cought anyone breaking into my gaff they would regain concesness hanging head first down the well in my dads cellar with the sound of a small hatchet being sharpend on a wetstone coming from above.

lets not create hysteria Carl - people do unfortunately get robbed all the time :( much like dogs don't REALLY talk to each other to organise mass attacks on their owners - but it seems that way when you hear one report on the news 10 more follow over the next few days.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune vin, that's crap! Where abouts are you, round huddersfield somewhere? car boots and the local park are probably the places to look.

+1 laptops, jewlery, reasonable av stuff, cameras are all going to be mutch easier to fence off than an rc car + equiptment.

still shtty news though

thats a toughie there dude, makes me start thinking about my stuff...

I think it is more to do with people wanting cheap stuff, so when they burgle your house, they just look for stuff they can easily shift :(

Sorry to hear about this vinny, glad you still have most of your stuff though, i know it doesn`t mean much now but at least you wont have the hassle of trying to remember everything that you had.

Get someone (not you or a member of your family) to have a word round the local boozer and im sure a name will be mentioned.;)

They are wankers but you will get even as you say vinny, you are known as the milkman because "you always deliver"

hmm im sort of getting the impression we all shouldnt be giving some personal details out ;). Cos i think thats how the f*cking w*nkers are working out where people's stuff is. Doesnt it seem a bit of a coincidence that 2 people have been broken into in 2 weeks?

Must admit i'm going to check my house insurance when i get a chance to see if i'm covered ;) we all have a lot of money invested in our hobby and it's a shame we have to go to such measures due to this scum:yawn:

Lee

I dont really think its a coincidence but i do think my theft was odd, due to the fact they knew exactly what they were after, with vinny`s i would say it was just your usual break in where they take the usual easy to sell stuff and just happened to take the b4 as well.

The chances are though with v-mags is that they will come back and ask if he still has the thrust race he left out when building it.

Sorry to hear about your loss Vinny, but don't beat yourself up questioning why they took your B4, its a virtual certainty they didn't take it to have a personal dig at you, they are just scumbags who don't care about anyone else except themselves and will just grab anything that they think they can shift quickly and easily. Say what you like about Sharia law, but at least if you cut the b*****ds hands off they can't nick stuff from anyone else.

sorry to hear about this vinny, its what we all regret to think about.

like you say, you never think it will happen until it does.

all i can think is rogue traders on the sales/wants section? selling you things so that they can reveal your wherabouts? then coming and stealing the rest of your gear?

had you been trading much on here or ebay before the robbery lee?

Lee
19-08-2008, 10:46 AM
No alex i never really use ebay, i have been shafted before on there
