Monday morning, Just had council man on the phone, he says someone else is going to contact me re new track. He thinks an under-cover track is a no go
but it's all down to costing. If we can come up with a building that is cheaper than Astro Turf we may have a chance.

Cool.. keep us posted!! Under-cover would be superb... but like you say its finding the ideal location then getting the ok from the powers that be!

I think we should all do a lottery syndicate! :woot: then it wouldnt be an issue if we drop the big one! (Yeah right! lol!)

Cheers

Yes, cheers mate.

There is plenty to talk about at this meeting. i.e. Indoor venue, shop, new track, committee, option for a National, help with club stuff.

Lots to talk about and if its worth doing.

Please, even if you are not a member please come and give us your vues of the club/track. We want possitive and negitive vues. We will not move forward if we dont know the weaknesses.

I also need some dates guys aswell.

We must be drumming up interest... 266 views

But what i cant understand is why only 8 people (so far...) seem to be contributing to this thread?? especially with that many views..?? :eh?:

Surely with so many people looking, people must be considering paying Bury a visit!!.. They will not be disapointed... brill track, great people..

How good does it look here!!

Stu, sorry I haven't been around the last couple of weeks - car show, wedding and a music festival to blame. Away again next weekend but expect more regular racing appearances from the end of the month.

Will do my best to make any meeting, would prefer a weekday at present but if a weekend then perhaps a morning meeting followed by free racing for all *contributors* would work well to boost numbers - more people = more ideas?

I shall be meeting someone on Wednesday Afternoon.

Met up with Helen Blythe today, she's someone who finds the funding for stuff at BM.
Nothing to report really, she wanted to know what we wanted so I told her:-
Covered track. (She'd seen the pictures of that French track on OOPLE)
Car parking + Toilets.
I also suggested we could share an indoor venue with a BMX track.
(How about a name change to BMRCCANDBMX)
She's gone away to do some research now 'coz I couldn't let her have any costs of buildings or for about 400 square metres of ASTRO.

Sounds good to me..weekend 6th / 7th Sept.. this is the weekend between Eastrax / Coventry so the Sunday afternoon (7th) would suit me

But as Mike b says i can fit in to suit other peoples free time..

Roger... that meeting sounds promising! Keep up the good work  With a possible Gold in the BMX olympics, BMX will be back on the map with the youngsters, (much like the cycling golds have done...) which will bring spectators, which will mean spectators for the RC Racing, which could ultimatley bring more people into RC

Cheers

Woody - Sundays best for me really too, or any evening except Tue or Thurs. Friday and Saturday are usually drinking nights but would sacrifice one for the cause if that's when it's convenient for most.

Wow an indoor track would be fantastic, I'm sure that would get loads of interest especially if these rainy summers persist.

I think that the sunday between the final's weekends would suit most people, so for those who are able for this sunday stated please post a reply,

thanks mike b:eh?:

Then here it is then! Next Sunday. At the track, starting at 9:30am. Please as many as possible and bring a friend. 2 heads are better than 1, etc.
