Hi all,

There must be a few people who have tried this, so could they tell me what they did to fit the Trakpower 3200 saddle LiPo to the X-6 chassis? As std, the cells are a little bit long.

PS - does everybody run the speedo on the right hand side of the chassis, and not the left? (and with that, use a seperate aerial mount and not the one on the chassis)?

Cheers :)

I run my speedo on the left, personally I think it is still neater this way

I use the sr3500 and tuck the ariel wire under the servo cover

that's how i intially prepared it, but then i saw other people's, and they seem to favour the left side.

Stan i tried my 3200 addle on thursday night in craig's x6 and it was a very tight fit if you trim the heat shrink off the sides you may get it in.

that's what we were thinking too mate, but they weren't my LiPo's, so i couldn't :woot:, so wasn't sure if it made enough difference

I've had this discussion but don't know anyone that would take their heatshrink off their packs so we could try. Have you tred that Stan?

I'm sure Paul designed the X6 chassis around the ROAR rules at the time which I imagine didn't consider saddle pack Lipo (it was like 3 years ago). When I measued 2 saddles, I thought they should fit in by less than 1mm, so if they don't fit you should only have to tickle out the chassis edges with a Dremel.

Ref the speedo I prefer the motor endbell side to cable tie the wires down the side. If you run Spektrum I have my aerial inside the shell, sticking up on a bit of lexan to get some height, a Fastrax 3 quid alu mount for when I ran 40mhz.

cheers Dan, good stuff.

I guess a stick pack equivalent LiPo wouldn't be quite so long?
