i have a sr300 receiver and speed passion esc in my b4 and want to put a fan on the esc but plugged straight in on the esc it will not take the voltage of my 2s saddle lipo as the fan takes upto 7.2v if i plug it into the aux port on my receiver what voltage would it put into the fan would it regulate it at less than 7.2v thanks frazer

just didnt want to blow my fan up haha

Hey mate,

If your fan is rated up to 7.2v then plugging into your 2s Lipos shouldnt be too much of a problem. They chuck out 7.4v (8.4v at absolute max when initially run)

Im not 100% sure, but think that your RX will be throwing out about 5v due to the BEC in your SP ESC.

If it were me, I mit be tempted to make sure there is an adequately rated capacitor between the batt and fan to smooth out the power delivery.

Im no electronics professional so insert disclaimer here

thanks mate rather be on the safe side of that warranty though haha.
going to run it through the receiver i think, at the worst it will be the same voltage as running it through the esc shouldn't be too bad i dont think its only running 5mins at a time
