hey there, i thought i would post this up as a few people have asked about it!
This time last week i didn't have much to do so i set to the idea of making my Tamiya TT01 (touring car) into a 4wd Buggy, now i have seen pics of this done before on the INTERNET so i got my dreml and i began work. It was quite easy really, all i had to do is cut away at the chassis to allow the larger buggy wheels to fit on! after cutting away the plastic i slotted some b4 rear wheels onto the axles, i chose b4 rears wheels as the pin slot and hole size fitted perfectly onto the axle. However i also had to put some new shocks on to he front as the frount wheels would not turn with the old shocks on. to solve this problem i used some rc18mt alloy shocks which did the job well. I tested it last Thursday racing ageist both mardaves (i was using a mardave motor so i made sense to race the mardaves) and other buggy's, my best was 21 laps in 6 mins which was about average with the other buggy's so overall it well very very well!
i will post some Better pics soon when i find my cam, however here are a few.
