hello folks. I recently purchased dex408 kit. Didnt find any gear grease in the kit, however got some greases from hpi short course truck. I using HPI molybdenum grease on driveshafts and gears while asembling, however gear box a bit noisy. Diffs is ok. Noise comes from 2metal gears in the gear box. Might its the way how it is when new or just wrong grease? And i find a bit free play in the mid driveshaft housing and when driveshaft pushes in it makes noise even worse. Im sure snapring is in the place. By the way i wondering how to take out that snapring when needs servicing? Might put some shims there? Never had 1/8 buggy before. I also have HPI heavy duty grease (that one is green). Might i suppose use that one instead molybdenum?
much appreciated for advises.

I use the Hiro Seiki metal gear grease from insideline racing...
awesome stuff..
For metal to metal surfaces lithium grease from car or cycle parts shop.
I use TDs gear grease #TD390017.
Depending on how you put the snap ring on, it can be as simple as using a small screw driver to lever it off. Here's a video I made on how I put the clip on as to make it easy to take off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ath_7INgw6g

Hi Andrius. I shim the diff pinion on mine to take out the play, however if when the diff spins it normally pushes the pinion out just the right amount. The best thing to use to lube the diff ring and pinion is motorbike chain oil.
