speed passion esc fan

Hi all i have a speed passion revention pro and 7.5 motor combo the esc comes with a fan can i get away with not fitting this as there just isn't the room in my losi 22 or would you recommend fitting it.

Depends on what you are running on. High grip will produce more heat than low grip.

If you can mount it with the wires facing the sidepods and have an air vent somewhere close then should be ok.

Or if you mount it above the lipo and have a longish plate there you could have a fan mounted on that so it blows through the esc.

There are also low profile fans you can get that are about 7mm high

thanks for the reply am running mid motor on astro turf ,indoor carpet have made a shelf for the esc over the lipo which i copied from a forum members picture of his losi guessing his esc was smaller when the fans mounted its tight to the top of the shell so might drill small holes in the top to let the air in.
