View Full Version : Understanding pack
Hi there
This aimed at the beginner and the expert. for the beginner to know and the expert to explain.
I have a understanding of what it is and how it works but would like to know exactly.
My first question is when is pack important to use and when is less needed.
My second question is do small holes mean more pack and does having less holes have the same result.
Hopefully this will help everyone to get their cars handling better.

Pack is pack, doesn't really matter what car you are driving.........

Other option is to download the hudy set up guide, there's probably some info in there.

I put this in the Schumacher section for the reason that would like to get direct information regarding Schumacher cars with Schumacher shock absorbers, Schumacher springs, Schumacher pistons and from Schumacher drivers.
This way all Schumacher drivers will have direct correlation as to Schumacher products, I hope that this is now clear.

You can also read the JQ set up guide, you can find it here;
http://jq-products.com/the-news/43-the-testing/160-the-guide
Although aimed at 1/8th buggies as is the Hudy set up guide the principles are the same.
My basic understanding of 'pack' is that we're trying to make the suspension to firm up when it has to move quickly like from landing after a big jump to stop the car bottoming out but when the suspension is moving more slowly like when driving over small bumps in the track it is allowed to move more freely.
Read the JQ set up guide and just skip the nitro specific parts, I find that it has some really good tips and pointers for finding a basic set up.

But he doesn't want any other car... He only wants to know about the specific schumacher pack that can only be obtained with their shocks oils springs and pistons.
Otherwise it won't work
