Hi guys quick question !
Most ppl including me run mm on the 210 but everybody is adding more weight to the back end !! Why not just run a rm configuration to save all the weight issues ??
Only used mine for the first time on Thursday and to be fair it's a dam good car !! Just curious why more ppl don't run rear motor.

Cheers

As far as I'm aware very few drivers that I know that run the 210 mm run with any weight in the back. I presume you are talking about weight behind the axles/diff. In front of the diff is a different matter. I myself run the 30g rf brace. as its in front of the diff it helps get the weight transfer onto the tyres under acceleration. But without any weight behind the axle the car can carry a lot more corner speed than say a rear motor car, or a car with lots of brass hanging off the back of the gearbox. This extra weight causes the car to swing the rear round the corner as the weight causes a pendulum effect.

To summarise a mm car with lots of weight behind the axle will drive/handle very similarly to a rm car.
A mid car setup right will have less drive on very low bite tracks. So if you race on dirt etc where traction is poor then this setup usually is fastest
However if your track has a reasonable grip level then the mid car can carry so much more corner speed. This is why on uk astro type tracks mid cars rule supreme. Hth
