Do you think there may be chance of a 'guest' race Phil??

_sleigh_
02-09-2008, 02:58 PM
It was talked about for the F2's but never happened. I think with the organising of finals and trophies etc. makes it a little stressful.

The regional finishing positions are used as a guide, but for driver that compete at Nationals then that is also taken into consideration.

Just wondering....

Ive driven as an f2 this year but didnt retain it after this seasons regionals and have dropped to an f3 again....does anyone know if this means i can enter the f3 finals as id love to go! :)

Unfortunately not... Elligibility to the End of Season finals are based on your license grade you achieved last year and have been running under this year..

The grade you have acheived at this years natioansl/regionals will not be active until Jan 1st '09.

Hope that makes sense. :bored:

Bugger! Am itching to race as well :(....it seems that (apart from pride) theres no point in having an f2 license as there are no longer any f2 finals, just an open event for all grades and the f3s. Aw well, thanks for clearing that up phil

The F2 finals (now BRC's) have always been open to any license grade of F2 or below. It's just in the good ol' days virtually every F2 in the country wanted to race at them, so the lower license grades went on the reserve list.

I remember going to the F2 finals at Holbeach as an F3 (I think) and being reserve for the Mid-West. Luckily I did get a place.

As for what the F2 means, I'd say, if you're thinking of competing at Nationals the following year, that is probably the most important thing to aim for at Regionals. This will give you one of the best chances possible to get an entry.
