Hi Guys,

I know I haven't posted Stotfold's report yet, but here is a summary of East Trax.

First of all I would like to say WELL DONE to all our Team Drivers. You all did really well.

Also I was really pleased how the Team helped each other out and worked together.

Our Pred's did do well on the track, although there were a few minor problems with the sand and mugginess but a lot of cars suffered the same.

All in all it was a good day - and it didn't rain!

Yes - he did. That was a great race did you see it? He showed the pace of the Pred! That was his 2nd time out with the Pred at a big meeting. He also has just come back into racing after a long break. If there weren't minor problems he could have easily got a good result each final.

Brill!

Yeah the car looked rapid, just needed calming on the jumps a bit, everywhere else though it was very quick. I think their going to be very fast after the team has developed it for the 09 season!

Just like to say a big thanks to Lewis and Nathan:thumbsup: for all the help they gave me on the day. The pred was awsome and really looking foward to the next meeting. I will post my set up for the eastrax event in the next few days.

May need a new body shell now as a bit like a collendar great for draining pasta but not that good for a wet day.

cheers
james :D

Really enjoyed the car all day, was awesome, just way too many mistakes from me in the finals. Can't wait for my next outing with it at Coventry or York on saturday night. Thanks again to Lewis and Nathan for all the help and support over the weekend and to Yanina aswell for the work she has put in towards the team etc.

was an awsome weekend. really enjoyed meeting some of the team who i havent had a chance to yet like the myers brothers who both drove really well all weekend and were a real credit to the team in all aspects of racing. james drove the socks off his car all weekend and once his electrical issues were sorted he really showed the true pace of both the car and himself by taking the last leg of the final so well done m8. phil C drove very well for his first time out with the car and seemed to really enjoy himself over the weekend and left with a good result in the F final as well. was great to meet you all, and i look forward to future races with you all

How was the op Nath? Will you make it to the F3's?

My car was good all weekend, and I acheived my goal, to make the A main - but only just! Who would think that my 10 points (2 5th in rounds) would put me 10th on the grid! :o

My car was very quick, especially down the straight! I made a place on the final straight on the last lap of two of the A final legs! :woot:

Thanks to all who helped, and Nathan for the chassis ;)

Just to repeat what everyone else has said.. thank you to Nathan, Lewis and Yanina for help and etc on the sunday.. much appreciated

Nice to also meet and chin wag with fellow pred drivers..

My pred felt superb allday, suffered badley in my 1st run due to the amount sand, destroyed a spur and pinion! Changed the rear suspension set up for the 2nd then left it the same for the remainder of the day.. this proved spot on as after my heat and a couple after i was lying A9.. by the end of round 2 i scored 18points.. so needed another good round and i would have been up there.. round 3 got stuck behind cars, couple of mistakes and got nudged by the tripples and marshalled last :( and looking at my time i would have been on for a very quick 11 maybe scrapped a 12.. but it wasnt to be!

Round 4 i was determined to do it! started well.. but again the tripples proved my undoing.. nudged again, tried to jump 2&3 and went nose first into the last, on my roof, came away the car didnt seem right, then the suspension went (rocker pivot had snapped) managed to finish the heat.. couldnt believe it when i checked lap times, last few laps with a broken car i was doing 26.5 sec laps... (didnt improve though on round 2 time) whole second a lap quicker than my round 2 heat.... as i said the car was feeling awesome..

Qualified in the E3.. and was out to prove to myself im more than on the pace.. started well.. first hair pin i got butched and ended up near the back :( then next corner again another tussel, it just went from bad to worse from then on.. combination of trying/pushing to hard to catch up etc i'd just lost it.. i was fumeing! god knows what people watching were thinking!

Ive come away feeling very confident with the car after Eastrax so am looking forward to Coventry!!

Cheers

Nick
