how come you can finish in the top 40 of the regionals and still only get an F4 grading:confused: when over a 100 drivers competed?

It's down to how many did 3 or more rounds, not how many competed. Only those that did enough rounds count towards the F grading.

Some may have got it in 4wd? Or if they were f2 last year they automatically only drop down 1 grade.

It might make more sense tbh if someone wud be kind enough to put order in which it was graded like last year, then ul c how far u was off grade in class.
Im sure i only got f3 each year by 4wd standings

Yep. Looking at the 2wd results out of 105 competitors, only 65 completed enough rounds to qualify for the championship. You also need to take out drivers who have gained the F grading at nationals. That takes another 6 off that total to. The percentages for F grades are then done on that adjusted base figure.
