Hi. My friend wants to buy an rtr for his son for christmas and im pointing him towards the 210 rtr as it looks great value at the price. His max budget is £250 including batteries and charger. Not looking to buy used as its a gift.
I believe he wants to race it. Anyone have any experience with the car? Advice on spares or weak points?
I have never had a durango im usually an associated and schumacher man but nothing else seems as good for the budget.
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

I bought my 5 1/2 yr old one last Christmas and he has used all season for racing and bashing round. Only items he broke were a front and rear shock tower and a rear toe in plate.
The servo wasn't the best so I put in a spare savox as indoor the kit one was a bit weak. All the other electrics work perfectly
I'd say for the money its a great present - you can pick up a couple of cheap batteries from hobbyking for about £20 ea and a charger for about £30 and spend the rest on tyres

My nine year old nephew recently got one and he loves it, steering rack is worth changing out from kit. As already said the servo is not the best.
Overall great value for money though!

Thanks thats what I wanted to hear. I will see if I can find him a little spares bundle of the usual towers wishbones etc. It does look great for 150 pounds. Might get my son one!

I echo what others have said. For the money, they are absolutely superb, although again the rtr servo does seem to be the weak spot, they didnt last long in either the buggy or SC truck, savox now in both. Otherwise, I've been running them all summer without any major breakages and my 5 year old son has learnt to drive with one . He refers to the truck as "the legend"
