For those who are unfamiliar, these cars are frighteningly, trouser-fillingly fast. It's basically a .21 1/8th buggy engine stuffed into a 1/10th 2WD stadium truck chassis with a 3-speed gearbox which allows it to reach speeds of 70+ mph and wheelie all over the place.

I bought this car in about 2001 and added the alloy engine mount and shocks, ballraced steering (including a home-made ballraced centre track rod made of steel), TT (twin-track) differential, drill start module (replaces the pullstart) and fitted Mugen MBX4 steering rods as top links as the stock ones just kept popping off.

In 2011 I restored it by stripping/re-painting the chassis and re-building the transmission (there are also 2 spare, freshly rebuilt transmission/brake assemblies).

Before I started the resto I fired up the engine, it ran fairly well but TBH I can't guarantee the condition of this and at the time I didn't have time to set it up properly, but it certainly wasn't slow! Since then it's sat on a shelf in my house and been full of after-run oil (which I always used after every session over my local fields). The 3-speed is almost brand new and has the hopup alloy ratchet part as the plastic one always used to strip out where it fits over the drive pin.

There is also plenty of new spares including diff pulley, hinge pins/arms, diff plates, pullstart cords (there are a couple of used pullstarts), single speed spur gears, basically everything in the pics bar the diff balls and needle rollers as I need them for something else.

Used spares I have too many to list but basically there is everything you'll ever need to go out bashing for the forseeable future.

Bad points? The shell has been repaired but is still usable and the header pipe is a bit dented but it was like this for a long time and it never seemed to affect the performance. It could do with a set of tyres but the fitted venoms aren't perished so these will get you going and there are 3-4 sets of wheels and a spare shell. I'm also including a glowstart and charger.

I'm asking £175 ono posted for this as it's the best one i've seen, I don't really want to sell it as it holds a lot of great memories but i'm getting more and more addicted to racing and have no intention of running it so really it has to go.
