View Full Version : Schumacher @THE WORLDS
Just been looking at the pics on NeoBuggy, it looks like Simon Moss is running an SV2/K1 hybrid, any news or pics about it?
Haven't schumacher just released their cougar kr for this type of surface. ?

most if not all are using mid motor cars because the track is being sugared and has simular grip levels as astro

looks more like an SX3 centre section than a K1 one, would make sense as the belt would be in the middle if they did use the SX3 rear drive train

And how on earth can you tell that from that pic

Having owned a sx3 and now running a k1 looking through the window it looks very sx3 to me, might be wrong but the screws look in the right place
yes you could be right about the SX3 as the centre transmission looks the same, zoom in on the window on the image, but could this be the birth of another car configuration rear, mid and now a forward mid motor.

Makes sense to take a forward, mid and rear motor 2wd cars to the world's, I would.
Seeing how the rudebits db1 and now db2 handle round my local track Schumacher would be silly not to consider a forward motor layout car, Maybe the 4wd converted to 2wd success has got them thinking

+1
The KR is following their new design trend set of the K1 and the SV2 is probably due an upgrade in light of all the other companies coming out with new 2wds.
They may be following the trend set by the TM2 (and suspected of the XRay XB2) of using a 4wd rear section and 2wd front section.
Would be interesting if someone manages to grab a body off shot

It is a K1, as the spur is on the right on the K1 and not the left, if it was the SX3, you wouldn't see the layshaft bearing.

deff not a k1 housing
k1 layshaft is far lower (level with lipo height) in the pic you can see the cover for the ratio gears on the other side and the top of the spur in front of the layshaft bearing nearest camera.
just comapared my k1 and sx3 def the later
hmmm, interesting.... I can't see Simon Moss running a one off Moss special though?

So that may mean that we are looking at the next 2wd from the Schumacher stable then???
If it is, I hope they change the production bodyshell!

I was going to say!
Everyone else was advised no photos lol
Technically it looks good but is it not getting a little complicated and with all that extra stuff more expensive when the leading cars are of a standard design.
I would have thought developing a car with a lower centre of gravity and around the shorty LiPo is where the improvements were to be found, as this would improve corner speed and stop grip roll, the shorty has to be the way forward as it gives you so much scope to move weight around the chassis, As am example the Bed Bull F1 car has the smallest physical size KERs in Formula, can you imagin Mr Newey using a full size stick or saddle if he were to design a buggy, now there is a thought.
Sorry to wander off the subject
Guess if it wins then we will all want one ,but it is a pitty as we will not see how well Simon would have gone with a SV2, best of luck guys

All well and good but roar currently have a rule where the chassis can not be stubby only. All those extra bits?

FrogPrince82
08-10-2013, 05:49 PM
This appears to be a more experimental/specialist chassis, so not an all rounder like the SV2.
Therefore I think they will keep the KM name for an SV2 replacement.
As this one is more a "motor forward" set-up compared to the SV2, I think they will call it KF.
Al3xis007
08-10-2013, 06:51 PM
It'll be the kf, f for forward motor as oposed to kr for rear.
I think it's the k1 rear end with an extra gear in to make the motor spin the other/normal direction cause the motor on the k1 is on the left I think
