Are you using Chris D's car again mate???

Jonesy

I think the weekend will have some great competition and with the meeting being held on a Neutral Grass track it will be hard to pick a winner.

You'd have to think some of the Top drivers from Eastrax will be in with a shout, Nathan Walters, Richard Sharpe from the Mid East and Mr Chappel from up North.

I'd like to think Mid West have a chance of doing something special in our 'home' region and wouldn't look too far past Craig Jones for a top 10 finish, 2wd especially.

I'm lookign forward to camping for the weekend and chilling with a few beers, the missus and the baby and of course anyone else that fancies a drink or two or three or four or five (and on and on........) :woot:

As it showed last week though, there is always a surprise from somewhere...... who will it be next weekend?

This is going to be nothing against any of the people in the past that have won the F3s but every year it seems to be an ex F1 that wins the F3s which I think takes a bit away from the meeting and what it is supposed to stand for,a chance for the lesser drivers at regional or national level to get some glory and maybe a three leg final and introduced on to the rostrum.

fair enough, but i was never an F1 prior to last year's F345's

That aside, i thought the F2's and F345's were the best meetings of last year. There was a really good atmosphere, and a great relaxed nature to them.

Good luck to all of the mid westies

Ola people,

Is there anyone going to Cov this Friday from the York area that has room for a little 'un (namely moi) in their car/van? All i'll have is a sleeping bag and a backpack, so won't take up much room.

I wanna go, but ain't got a car right now and getting a train all the way there is way too expensive. You gotta love public transport!!

Me and Mia get to spend a whole weekend with G, i don't believe it, could this really be happening?????

Triples are still there (or were yesterday). I was passing so had a look, the grass track had no puddles and was dryish, the Astro a few, the dirt track had major puddles and the main camping area was fairly soggy.

Grass track is still being used from what I was told yesterday.

Nathan waters TQ and the win.

Personally 2wd i did a bit poo the car was SSSOOO nice to drive and i could jump the tripple if i did it 2 then 1 but i just kept making a few mistakes a run which overall just cost me any outstanding runs which put me down i n the dismal depths of the H :( But the weather and the atmosphere made up for it. Today Was much better went out in practise and the car was good made an early change to yellows in round one which paid off and i was going really well then i managed to break a front cvd i finished the run with 3wd i kept the lead for maybe a lap longer than i was caught and swiftly passed. From then on the car was really good round 4 i wanted to change a few things Nathan ralls gave me a few tips i tried them and wow the car was awsome. Ended up quallifying F7 got up to F5 Then on the last lap i crashed into wraggy breaking his car (Yes he was lapping me and yes he was winning) Sorry wraggy please dont hurt me. So i lost a place or to putting me 7ths had a great weekend racing it was awsome. But it was lso very exspensive the genny was drinking like and elephant i put 25 pounds worth of petrol in it and it hasnt got much left in the tank now. I spent just shot of 190 pound

BTW Andy next time put a sensor wire in :)

Well done to all the team. Ran just like a national.

Weather was a bit dull in the morning, but turned out good. The grip was good....but how bumpy is the track!!? Did anyone actually manage to go flat out down the straight without going airbourne?

A good day though.

Shame my driving isn't up to scratch.
Need to try harder, and be a little bit more agressive.

Well done to all the winners.

ashleyb4
14-09-2008, 09:05 PM
If you keep off the outside of the straight and stick to the side closest to the rostrum y0ou can go flat out down the straight yes well that what i found. If i got of the bumpy bit i was screwed.

A

Belsten
14-09-2008, 09:08 PM
Outside of the straight was deffo a lot more bumpier than the inside although I managed to go down the outside without too many issues once the car was dialled

Thanks to all the team for putting on a great event. Everything ran smoothly. Same some people didn't turn up. Yesterday i was happy with qualifying in the C, but today was more than gutted with where i finished overall. Car was good to make the A and was in with a chance all day, just a shame the drive couldn't manage to put together another top 8 run which would have put me there. Oh well we always have next year  But if someone had said before the start of today where i would have finished i would have been more than happy.

Can i be one of the first to congratulate nathan on doing the double double with the f2's and the f345's in the same year. i think he is the first person to do this ever if my memory serves me right. stan got close last year with 3 out of 4 but nathan got all 4 even if he didnt tq all of them that is an amazing acheivement by anyones standards. well done m8 and lets see ya at the nationals next year.

well done to james chappel as well after a long lay off from racing to of won a leg at the f2s and then got 2nd over all in 4wd at the f3's is an asome result for both him and xtreme with the competition that was there. roll on next year m8 ;)
