Been looking around for a new ESC for my 9.5T motor (Turnigy as it happens :p) I'm not really looking to pay lots of cash but naturally want something thats not complete rubbish.
It'll be replacing a Speed Passion Citrix, mainly because it has no boost functions plus other lack of adjustability.
Heres the link: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__45168__Turnigy_TrackStar_100A_1_10th_Scale_Senso red_Brushless_Car_ESC_Car_ESC_UK_Warehouse_.html
I'm not worried if its not as good as a top of the range £150 ESC, just wanna know if its good for the cash and gonna last longer than a few meetings.

Personally I would look for a second hand hobbywing v2.1 possibly on eBay bet you can get one for about £50 -£70 ish they seem very reliable and have boost function but you will need the program card though to set it to your liking I am sure many people will vouch for them

No need to buy second hand when you can get the 90a v2.1 brand new for under £55. I've got one on my 7.5 and it runs fine even with boost

A guy at silverstone bought one of these to replace a brand new revention pro that was faulty, dropped it in with an 8.5 and even though it had the mod software on we added 50% boost and turbo and it was very fast and smooth. Nice and cool at the end of a run too!

Cheers for the heads up, I'll probably skip the Turnigy then. I'll keep an eye on the genuine Hobbywing, looks good for the price.
Also been eyeing up the SkyRC Toro 120A @ £75 inc program card.
Also this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tyrannosaurus-120A-Sensored-Brushless-ESC-Speed-Controller-For-1-10-Car-/181211967636?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item2a31133094 looks to be a Hobbywing 120A v2.1 copy/clone/re-brand. Either it'll be identical and an awesome bargain or total turd  could be worth the risk
