Still nothing received, i had to write a post on here to get a reply to a pm last time so here goes again.
It has now been a week since i payed for this and i still havent received it. Infact its hardly surprising i havent received it as im guessing it has yet to be sent. If it had gone you would of replied to my pm's asking for the tracking information. The fact you havent replied makes it look to me that it hasnt been sent. This is without the fact that you neglected to say you arent in the uk and the car is coming from europe which would of been nice to know as im guessing it will take a week to arrive even after you bother to send.
If you could just refund the payment to my pp address that would be great, ill simply buy a new car from someone in the uk. This will be easier for me and better than a pp dispute.

Still no reply to pm's / emails and still nothing received. Only a matter of hours before i can open a paypal dispute.
What a shame...

Wonders never cease, B4 arrived today !!
However it has many parts missing and has clearly done an awful lot more than two race days as delanobe said above. Infact by the looks of it i think it has done an entire season of racing on the moon. The bottom of the chassis looks like someone has been hitting it with a hammer and chisel.
I never ever buy anything secondhand as a rule, im so pleased i didnt buy a new one :(
Delanobe, you have an email to read.

Just out of curiosity, what parts were missing??

Unfortunatley the underside of a b4 do mark quite easily, from the pics, the car does look mint.

thanks to Jimmy for unlocking this thread for me, i would like to air my views and use this to warn anyone else from trading with delanoble.
As above i received the B4 yesterday from belgium. However as soon as i opened the box i realised that this car had been used for more than ten battery charges. Aside from the scrapes and stuff which i suppose i could live with, but by the time i replace the missing parts and as it stands some parts are so badly damaged these need to be replaced before i can run it. This will mean before i can even use it its going to cost me more than a new one would of cost. Today ill list the parts damaged and missing and later ill post some pics so people can make their own minds up.

PARTS DAMAGED

The whole bottom of the car is really badly scraped, im not talking scratches these are real deep scrapes. These cover the whole underside inc the chassis, gearbox plate, motor guard & all four wishbones.

Anodising worn off the front spindles, "new shock caps", shock bodies, & motor plate.

Nuts on top of shockers chewed up & servo saver nut has been attatcked with mole grips or similar.

Supposed "new" mip driveshafts really badly worn.

Rear diff outdrives worn and one side has a piece missing where the driveshafts lie.

Rear diff balls worn or diff full of sand.

Front bumper split

The electrics have been held to the chassis with super glue and servo tape the glue is over the top of the tape so it cant be removed, at the same time super glue has ben spilt on the front wishbones.

PARTS MISSING

Steering bellcrank arm

Servo mounting posts

Box

Instructions

Screws, nuts etc missing from all over the kit.

I never did expect a new car but nor did i expect something like this. I never buy second hand and i only bought this as it was supposedly "mint". I have emailed delanobe with my view and he mailed me back to call me an ar$ehole which was nice. As he is unwilling to help i had no alternative but to open a paypal dispute.
As a warning to anyone try and avoid dealing with delanobe it simply isnt worth the hassle

The car in the original photos looks great & clean.(Top of shocks ball joints, dust covers etc) I can understand how you feel, Do you think the car in the photos is not the one you recived? just the bodyshell on a better car for the photos?

I had a bad deal with a chap not so long ago on a discharger, I know how you feel

I think members should HAVE to show were they are in the world on oOple in the for sale section.

I cant really work out it its the car in the pictures, i am infact guessing it is but the fotos have just been cunningly taken. I have taken a couple of fotos of the car and noticed even more things missing today. for instance there are no front wheel bearings.
Ill post the pictures up of the car soon.
When i come to sell stuff i always make sure its really nice and that people get a good deal however it seems this guy does none of that.
Ive just ordered a brand new B4 this morning, i hope the PP dispute comes to something otherwise ill either hacksaw this B4 in half or put it in the bin.

Sorry mate, ill get much more satisfaction from throwing it in the bin than from wrapping it up and posting it out to someone for free !!
Paypal are not interested in a claim and have closed the dispute saying they are only interested in claims for non receipt. Which is utter bollox and not fair.
I need to either buy the parts that are missing from the kit or just forget about it and throw it away. Im so annoyed.
Jimmi.

I was interested in the car when I first saw it but thought it a bit strange that a 'mint' car had no photos with the body off or of the underside. I guess now we know why.
To save something from this, why not strip the car down and salvage the usable parts and keep them as spares for the new car when it arrives. The diff can be fixed with a rebuild kit, shocks and shafts can be overhauled and repaired, screws are useful, shock towers, rear wishbones etc. Try to make the best of it rather than have a total loss. I feel for you though dude, it is a sh###y trick to pull on anyone, let alone a fellow forum member.:thumbdown::(

sorry to hear about your experiance, if you paid by paypal you will have no problem getting your money back,if item is not as described(which it sounds like it isnt) paypal will have you send the item back (proof of posting is required) and money will be returned, have had this experiance when i bought some nike trainers which ended up being fake, opened a dispute was told to post item back posted item back special delivery then contacted paypal again and within 21days money was returned..
hope everything turns out ok

Are you covered for this type of thing on a public forum ?

pizzaman

im cant see why not as item is still not as described no matter where its bought from.if you send it back (proof of posting required) as far as paypal are concerned he has is item back so you get your money back:thumbsup: paypal will always favor the buyer

Good question, I wondered that myself as I was always under the impression that an INAD (item not as described) dispute was exclusive to Paypal being in bed with eBay.

I feel for you Jimmi, I've lost count of the times I've bought what can only be described as bin fodder when the seller said it was mint. On the plus side if you assume everything is crap and get it for a good price you can get a warm feeling from restoring it (or you've wet yourself out of anger).

Should the thread be mooved here? or at least from were it was posted as sold?

Would be great to have a feedback section!

What a cock..

Hmmm if you accidentally dropped a pound in the collecting tin from the old lady down at the shops rather than the fluff ridden 10p that you have had in your pocket for 3 years would you have the cheek to ask for the 90p change.....

I know delanobe quite well, and I know the car isn't mint, except for the body, which is very nicely painted by a professional. But indeed, when parts are missing, he makes a big mistake which should be arranged by refunding some of the money or sending the missing parts. I see him Sunday, I'll talk to him.

This thread has worked out quite well, i basically wanted to air my views and i think ive achieved that !!
For the guy who said i was over reacting im simply not, i have much better things to do with my time.
The paypal dispute was indeed closed by paypal much to my annoyment. However as a "good will gesture" Delanobe has agreed to send me the missing parts and one new diff outdrive. These where supposedly sent today. However i cant see how sending the missing parts that i paid for and expected can be classed as an act of good will.
If these parts arrive i suppose i will have a complete car, abeilt with worn out driveshafts and everything else thst goes with it.
Ive tried to take some fotos of the underside of the car just to show the action the car has had but i cant really get a decent picture, as ive decided to replace the rear gearbox mount and motor guard ill post it out to RCRACER if he pm's me his address and doesnt mind of course. That way an unbiased view on the car can be given and show im not overreacting.
One good thing has came of this and that is that i very much doubt anyone else will buy from delanobe on here again !!!!

Thats not on if what you say is true, and i dont doubt you!

I reckon pics were taken at the start of the season, then, when he comes to sell it after using it "X" amount of times, some good looking pics to lure people in
