Here is a pic of my RC18b FT that I bought today for my wife, the body needs to be fine trimmed and painted. Will be brushless/lipo powered.

Imediate upgrades are DP draglink, and aluminum servo and follower arms, ball bearing for steering.

Power will probably be castle creations.

I am going to stick with the stock chassis because it is more forgiving in crashes, but will like to go with the exotec slipper setup.

Any servo suggestions? Thanks.

What are some thoughts about the novak mongoose conpared to castle creations? I run castle stuff in everything, and like it, just looking to make this a nice and easy to drive car for my wife (and me lol)

A shout for the Castle Creation gear here,i think the 6800kv one is the most useable, higher revving ones you tend to struggle to get the gearing low enough. It is very cool to be able to link it up to the computer and mess with it.

I use to have a RC18t with a castle creations esc and 6800 motor, it was very nice, I was just trying to see if the novak one would be better for all around pourpose, some racing but mostly bashing around.

The servo I have narrowed down between a
