Yesterday I had issues with my transponder not counting properly, and I was fortunate enough to be allowed for the missing laps to be reinstated. I have noticed that it appears that Chris suffered a similar problem the previous week, and again it appears that his laps were reinstated.
My first question is is this a common problem that people are suffering from? Or is it one or two isolated incidents?
Second I am seeking clarification as to what is the ruling on such incidents? Is it a case of "your transponder, your responsibility for it to count" in which case does that mean for every person who's laps are missed will not be reinstated, or if it is not a persistent problem will the laps be reinstated?
Thanks.
