Does anyone know if I can safely use the carb cleaner that comes in an aerosol can to clean my brushed motors?

I have a full tin in the garage and no motor cleaner and yes I have already been called a pikey for being too cheap to go and buy the proper stuff!:woot:

if you squirt it in when the motor is turning... it makes everything glow.... with a flame haha

And yup, bought it to clean out the SU's on the V8 Landy in a vain attempt to get it to do double figures mpg!
