I put inserts in my low pro tyres. Terrible mistake. I drove them like that until someone touched my tyres and told me.

Better to have and not need but then it's always funny when a tyre rolls by without it's ride

Always glue them, you only need a small amount of glue though.

I don't use inserts, as for glueing, I have tried different things - you might be able to get away without glue on most occasions, but just in case I do glue the outer bead with a small amount of glue - the inner bead deforms less so I never glue that.

Hi I have front minispike 2 silver on std front hex wheels. Do these need inserts as they feel very soft on the wheels

Also does that goes the same for the cut stagger low profiles on narrow schumacher hex wheels.

Just in the process of building up my wheels and tyre set. (and realising I have more tyres than wheels (D'oh).

Thanks

Matt

Always glue, albeit I usually use approx 8 dabs on each side (I.e. I don't glue all round,)
Have experienced losing a tyre first time I ran on a carpet track and the grip just took the tyre off.
No inserts

I normally glue all the way around on both sides front and rear, its just an old habit I cant seem to break.

I've seen cut staggers rip off rims when the outside edge wasn't fully glued. I'd make sure they were glued all round.

But don't forget, I'm a bit "Driving Miss Daisy"

How's the snow?

:)

I've run stagger ribs unglued fine, but not on high traction. cut staggers can rip if only spot glued.

Snow is great, bloody tired/unfit.

I'll bear in mind and get mine glued better. Only ever lost one tyre and that was at Mansfield back when I had a team C. Spot gluing not failed yet, although saying that I took my girls to Spen during last week for a bit of a play and one of the fronts on my Bmax-2 (cut staggers) started to come loose
