View Full Version : Braking issue!
Not really a kyosho specific issue but didn't know where else to put it and I do run an rb6 so here goes,
Have recently noticed that under full braking my car is pulling hard right, anyone got any ideas what would cause this!

Check rear droop...measure the length of the rear shocks and make sure they are the same

Check that there's nothing binding from the rh drive shaft down to the hub and bearings. Inspect the cvd and make sure it's free moving.

-Check all the bearings.
-Give diff a clean and regrease
-Go over the car and make sure nothing is bent (hingpins, shock shafts)

Re-set your speedo, making sure your end points are correct on the handset, 100% forward and brake...Probably and electric problem...
Thanks, few things to check their! Will be stripping down the car as soon as the kids stop jumping all over me and go to bed:mad:
Appreciate the help!

Probably and electric problem...:thumbsup:Almost definitely NOT an electrical problem if its pulling to one side.
Check for flat spots on the dog bone ends, or grooves in the outdrives.
A common (?) trick to extend the life of them is to swap left to right driveshafts and flip the diff.
Works well when you are going forwards as you have a fresh surface to run on, but as soon as you brake, the drive pins drop into the old groove (from the pre flipped arrangement) and lock the suspension up.
Make sure all the spacers are in the hubs (if the RB6 has them) and neither inner or outer bearing has collapsed or gone notchy.
I've had both the above problems!

Agree with Matt, have a look at your diff!
Thanks Mattr/Neil
I was planning on rebuilding my diff this week anyway as I haven't touched it since getting car second hand a couple of months ago so will inspect while it's apart.

in other words... if the car drives asymetrically, give it a full check-up ;)
