vixy.net is the only one I have ever tried but it's always seemed to work fine for me, gets busy occasionally and you have to refresh a few times to get it to start converting but seems to run fine.

Downloads and converts the videos.

install flv player or the newest version of realplayer and it'll save the files down and play them

I use VDownloader; It seems ok ive used it to take only the backing audio from music videos from Youtube to songs i cant find anywere else

try "tubetilla", its only for youtube vids but it can convert them to MP4 MP3 WMV and FLV video formats.
Works really well for me:woot:
