WTF, exactly as per thread title. Last week I was driving (or attempting to) round the Padova track with an ill handling slippy slidey rallycross buggy. This week, I don't have it. I have to pay 12 f###### euros for it.

So far, this game or sim or whatever we're supposed to class it as, has not impressed me. The handling is wank and then there's the really tossy selection of off roaders, wow, an AE short course truck for free and an absolute truck load of touring cars.

I just entered tossy short course race, and I find, as opposed to just practicing on my jack jones, that there's radio lag:thumbdown:. This thing aint cricket I tell thee.

VRC dongle for sale soon btw.

I wanted to enjoy this to be honest. I've been seeing banners and teasers for the RX buggies on VRC for sometime now and was the only reason I downloaded it and bought a dongle. Now the only reason I wanted it has been taken away.

Maybe you need to change tyres as it now makes a difference with the buggy.
I know if I use the wrong tyres it's like driving on ice.

I no longer have a buggy, it's been taken away. Buying "virtual" tyres, whatever next.

The simulator is top notch, you only have to look at the pro class to see lots of big names using it, I bit the bullet and forked out for the all inlusive deal while it was on special offer, worth ever penny imo

The buggys were opened up for everyone to use, even those who have not paid as a little taste and to have the chance to enter the world championships, now they are over it has returned to normal.

Hi yes as mentioned buggy was given tempary to everyone to let them get a feel for it and enter winter races over Xmas/new year this has now stopped and your accounts returned back to what you have paid for. So if you do wish to carry on racing classes you don't have either buy the chassis or buy a bundle pack where a few tracks will be included as well or pay a monthly subscription to get every chassis and tracks or go for the unlimited bundle where you get every track and chassis and parts.

Buy the buggy pack and quit whining

Seriously, vrc is great, but you must put some time into setting it up. In graphics options, turn off the effects such as smoke and dust. Then you should have no lag. Get the fps displayed on screen, I find anything under 50fps is no good. Also do the transmitter calibration, there's a thread on vrc forum explaining how to.

Lastly, go on the vrc forum and get some buggy set ups as the standard set up is terrible!

HTH

To say the stock buggy setup is terrible is the understatement of 2014 so far!

What setup have you ended up with Richy?

I don't get much chance to play and as it needs a 10+ min update every time I start it up I only get about 10-15mins actual driving time each go so any starting point welcomed!

I have just fiddles about with mine but don't think it would be good for anyone els as my driving style is a bit different but still managed a 35sec lap with it.
