Hi everyone
I was thinking of getting a couple of trakpower 3200 saddle packs to play with over the winter, with a view to running next year if they are voted in. To safeguard myself i was hoping to get a balancing lipo charger that also has NiMH capability (sell my pulsar 2 to fund it). That way if Lipo is rejected i can still charge my cells next year.
There are a few chargers around that seem to fit this bill, such as the Core RC model for about £60. Orion race spec charger for around £60 also, not sure if it released yet.
The main problem with these is that they don't seem to be compatible with the trakpower balance connector (why oh why can they not have an industry standard connector!).
So my question is, are there any balancing chargers that will charge NiMH and fit a trakpower pack (with out spending silly money!)? Or is there a lead available to convert the Core RC charger etc to fit the trakpower cells?
The other alternative i guess is a different brand of cells, but hard cased saddles are thin on the ground!
cheers in advance for any advice to a lipo newbie!
