Hello Jason,

I'll come and have a look next time.

How are people getting on with them? How do they drive?

Wes

There very easy to drive from the feedback im getting, the example that comes to mind quickest at the moment would be Mr Penguin himself who first time out at silverstone jumped 30 places with the cobra compared to his best result with his mid motor, silverstone is super close racing where every 10th of a second matters and the cobra gave him what he was previously lacking

Thats an impressive improvement!

So is it just the chasis you would supply and i would source the rest?

Yes mate, steve does the shells for the range of cars, then its the back end and slipper unit of the 410 but using the front centre cvd and the front end of the 210,all you need to make is a battery strap and source battery posts everything else is a straight bolt on

Anyone got a link to a suitable shell. Got one on the way, and reckon I'll need a spare shell!

jasonrcb

This is the shell most people are using http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cobra-Hybrid-B42-Durango-4210-Yokomo-Db2-Bodyshell-/271454018372?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3f33eb9b44

If you prefer the older style shell pictured below, contact steve haskins on here or through his ebay.

PM Jason up above.

You may have to wait a while until he knocks the next batch up but its well worthwhile - I love mine.

Here is the update of the 4210 that i'm about to start testing, the main thing we have done is turn the lipo round to see if it gives more rear end, anyone with the original 4210 chassis this is an easy mod as the lipo will still go under the centre driveshaft without the slot milled out, something you can try before buying a shiny new chassis,

KB i have replied to your pm

Andrew once all testing is done and i can get sensible shipping prices then i will let you know,i have seen your posts on our facebook page, were overrun still with orders but were catching up

I have also added pics of the new 410 cobra, this will also get it's first run on sunday

I couldn't get on with my standard dex410 so I sacrificed it to make my shiny new Cobra 4210.

Now you've gone and done a 410 chassis that looks so good I can't resist. Anyone got a dex410 complete rear end laying about. ;-)

LOL sorry mate,i'm going to give the car a run tomorrow so i will let you know how it goes,i have given it a quick run and first impressions were that the car still has loads of grip but not such an aggressive front end so feels easier to drive,i'm also picking a shell and undertray tomorrow so should have pics of the finished car in the week

bigalbi

How did the test run of the new 410 go?

jasonrcb
21-01-2015, 05:40 PM
I was pretty pleased mate,i didn't get as much running as i wanted with having no undertray and a badly fitting shell but i got some laps in,the car feels well balanced over the bumps and jumped well, the bit that pleased me most was this version was smoother to drive than the std 410 and less aggressive on the front end which is what really smoothed the car out.

Some pics of the finished car with the new shell fitted

Can't wait to get mine on track!

P.s. You might recognise it as it once belonged to the man who makes them!

Really happy with it though :)
