Set up help

Hello everyone, I am very new to the rc scence and have got myself a second hand durango dex410 v3. I run on high grip astor, At the moment i don't have the anti tool bars installed. What difference do they really make?

Also there are ALOT of difference mounting holes on the shock towers, do these make much difference? If so what position has what effect?

Last this is my current set up is it about right for a tight high astro track?
10k oil in the front diff
7k oil in the rear diff
42.5w oil in the front shocks
25w oil in the rear shock.

I know this is a big ask and it is probably a lot about the driver and how he likes to drive but any help would be great.

But theres no better way off fiinding out, than trying a change, but those will help you understand what does what.

as for your setup it changes from person to person. For me on high grip i run::
12.5k front diff (calm the twitchyness)
7k rear
42.5 losi oil front middle hole tower, outerhole wishbone
32.5 losi oil rear 2nd hole from outer on tower, middle wishbone.

(25wt oil seems to thin for me would have thought it would crash through)

is there anything that your wanting your car to do or stop doing?

Thanks. I will read through them posts :) seem I have a quite good benchmark set up which is not a million miles off. I will look into putting some high grade oil in the rear shocks also. This is my first Rc so don't have anything to compete it too. It seems to drive fine but I am of low drive skill so am hardly pushing the car.

Just drive the car, it's a brilliant car and will work well enough with the setup you posted, when you can do a whole race without crashing, then start to worry about setup.
Until then just have fun driving it :)
