Any of you guys use the folding picnic table for races?
Theres one in the shed, the kind that folds up into a long suitcase kinda thing? But are there any issues with them I should know about?

Pit tables eh? Hhmmm.. basically anything you have is usually acceptable... normally the bigger tables suit outdoors and, surprisingly, the smaller ones indoors.. but i have seen all sorts of tables in use including the type you have in the shed, so i guess they work fine... as long as it is sturdy n you dont expect to dance on it you will be fine.. :D

Adjustable legs are real handy when pitting outdoors in fields,

I use a Large (6ft) folding table and its great. plastic, easy clean and very stable.
But as mentioned anything really. seen picnic tables and pasting tables used.
as long as its sturdy and fits in your car then its fine.

Ive been lucky so far finding a table, but I found the picnic number and wondered if anyone else tried and maybe found too light/flimsy/shaky?
Or maybe they are ok then...

I've got one. I raced regularly off road 10th electric with it, me and a mate pitting from it about 15 years ago. Recently came back to the sport; table was in the shed, now pitting from it again. Seats are brittle, mine are cracked but fine, rest of table has stood up to loads of abuse over the years.
Just watch your fingers when you fold it up! ; )

Some of those picnic tables are very cheaply made, especially the more recent ones. I used to use one that was quite substantial and it was fine until it broke but very small to sit at. I now have a blow-moulded folding table, 4ft x 2ft, good size for one person.
