K1 AERO pivot pins fall out

hey, i am very satisfied with my Aero . it drives very good and fast :-) .

i have only a problem with the pivot pins (U3305) in the front lower arms.
i have lost 2 already... last time i mounted them with tread lock , but now there was one lost again... it is very strange, the tread is ok, when i fasten the pivot pin into the wishbone, i can tighten it with no problem.

is there someone with tesame issue ?

Tread lock is not very good on plastic. Try put some superglue on the tread part before screw it in.

That's the one thing I check after every run as mine sometimes come loose.. I've haven't lost one yet.

I have seen mine loose a couple of times too.

The action of the wishbone moving is undoing the pin, make sure the pin is loose in the carrier and apply a small amount of grease to the pivot portion of the pin.

I have used PTFE plumbers tape to secure pins in the past, just wrap a small amount around the threaded part if the pin and screw in to the wishbone mounting.

i have put some super glue on the one that i put in now, so hopefully it is ok. best that i put glue on all of them.

ps; tha pivot pins from LOSI tlr22 are tesame , the only difference is that the losi ones are with a round head and the schumi ones are conical.

and the big difference, is the price. you get 8pc of the losi pins for 2 from schumi...

i had some spare pins from losi in my spare part box :thumbsup:

Yes try some grease on the pivots... its possible they are binding causing them to unscrew. Ive never had one of mine loosen

Could it be the unscrewing is a hint that either pivot or arm is damaged/out of alignment? That causes excessive friction too, and under normal circumstances a car shouldn't require grease on it's pivots. Admittedly I mostly ran Tamiya's in the past, they have a relatively loose/easy fit on all parts, so my view might be biased :)
