I think the T1r used saddle packs or some early xray anyway

Any modern tourer can be made to fit saddle pack lipos, put end to end they are the same size as a stick pack. Easy option to mount them is the RadshapeRC Lipo Tray (http://www.radshaperc.com/product/universal-lipo-battery-tray), or extra supports in the middle of the battery area and a battery strap rather than tape.

I can't think of any modern tourer that uses saddles and on older chassis the battery mounting area is usually a little too small to get lipos in.
