The Z is stunning, instant response and really comfortable to use. Best rc product I've ever bought. Quite a few levels up from any other system

Same here, quite an improvement over FHSS Esprit III, very light.
Might take time to got used to it as it'chunkier than the KO but best piece of gear ever bought.
The team C bag is great to protect it with perfectly cut foam.

Where have you been getting it from? Had a quick look on ebay, you can pick up one from din ball for around £300 inc postage. Over here they are £480 ish

As I worked for SMD I obviously got one from there, the official sanwa distributor. I would gladly pay the extra for the warranty and peace of mind you get from a uk supplier. Wouldn't touch a foreign bought one with yours.

Hobbyking.com now appear to be doing sanwa receivers.

I too am considering investing in a Sanwa Exzes Z, but am put off by the intentionally high UK price. For me, "Piece of mind" doesn't really justify an extra £180 over the cost of buying from outside of the UK.

It certainly isn't an intentional high price from Jamie at SMD. There is next to no margin in it and certainly not enough to allow me to keep working there!

As with everything in the UK we suffer from the exchange rate balance effect plus import duty and VAT at very significant levels.
It's not the UK importors getting rich it's the government.
I've known Jamie for many many years, first met him at Rory Cull's house when none of us were old enough to know anything.
What I can assure you is that Jamie is not only one of life's genuinely nice blokes but that he also does everything he can to keep the products he distributes at the most competative prices possible.
I run Sanwa gear as a normal customer, no connection to SMD at all, and have to say the kit is amazing quality, well featured and whilst the price is a little higher than some out there I've never felt I've not got what I paid for.
Oh and I've never needed SMD's returns service, probably never will (neither are you likely to) but I KNOW for a fact that if I ever did I'd get service the old fashioned way and would be pleased with the outcome.

I got mine by a friend who was in Hong Kong for work.
What we noticed is the price I pay for mine was lower than the price a shop would pay for one in Europe so besides any distributor margin I think Sanwa choose to have a price for its domestic market and a higher price for Export

What shops in the US sell the Sanwa exzes z? I see amain doesn't. I normally buy my stuff from amain because it is way cheaper than buying stuff over here in the UK. Now looking for somewhere in the UK where I can get the Exzes Z - I too am put off by a £430 price tag for something that costs around $430 USD.
Cheers

I think you'll struggle to find one in USA, as it's pretty rare to see any american drivers running stick radios.

MB Models stock them
Wouldn't of thought there would be a warranty if purchased outside the UK
Best investment I have bought!
