God yeah, the beer festival years & years ago was top notch. But I'm sure it will be a nice cheap hotel this time. Anyone that went last year have any details of hotels?

I have e:mailed Willy regarding the event next year, and his response was along these lines; an e:mail will be sent out in the second part of november, and an e:mail will be sent to all the drivers on their "database" informing the drivers of the procedure if the event is going ahead.

as for where to stay, it's best if you are camping, to find some high ground away from the many little streams that run through the park every time it rains.

I'll be in for next year too along with Schlong I imagine, Harris and Doddy too I'll bet. ETAP was plenty good enough I thought though the bar across the road wasn't great. On the last night we drank beer sitting on the curb like homeless people ;)

Ha ha, I still have the photos. It was quite good that, you don't need to be homeless to sit on a kurb drinking lager til the ground spins a bit. Jupiler is amazing. Count me in for 2009 for sure! :)

Hey Nick,
You didn't read as far as Burgie's post did you?
There are no dates as yet, if you are interested then email Willie/Lilianne and they'll put you on the mailing list for if/when info is released.

Otherwise no doubt that somebody will post on here once known.

Dave didn't you forget to get fuel one year & end up with a mouth full of fuel trying to syphon some for that punto? I think it was about 96! :)

Like many of you know Lilian stops in 2009 with organising the GP.
We as the club from Kampenhout need to find some extra enthusiastic club members or other Belgian racers who have the time to help organise this event together with Willy and some club members. Until now it was always W&L who did the preparations the week before the event (and the preps before that). This needs to change, if there are new volunteers who can help the week before (and alot more than that, also during the year with subscriptions) Then there can be a GP in 2009.
If not, the 'shock' effect of not having a GP in 2009 has to wake people up so we can have a meeting in 2010.
