Thinking of replacing my (still) awesome, but getting on a bit KO PDS2413 LP Servo.

I like LP style servo's, so what recomendations have you got. I'm a KO whore, but more than willing to go elsewhere, as i really can't justify KO's current pricing on what would be the replacement for mine.

Cheers.

I like my recently purchased Futaba BLS551, seems really precise, with good speed and torque.

I've had reliability problems with gears in the Savox low profile servos, but guess you get what you pay for as the futaba is twice the price.

My question would be that if your KO is working fine why replace it??

JCB - Can't help but feel it's lost some of it's awesomeness, lol

Kiwi - Yeh, lovely and i'd buy one tomorrow, but i have to live in the real world nowadays... lol

I've recently replaced my savox with a Sanwa Sdx801 and I'm very happy with it. Faster, smoother and less play than the savox, and much less current draw so no more glitches. And the price is decent compared to all the brushless offerings.

+1 on the Futab BLS551, I've got 3 of them and they show no signs of deteriorating in any way, had them since they were first released and the Futaba 9550 they replaced was donkeys years old with no issues either.

Only full size servo I have now is a Futaba BLS451 which is equally great (only have that as I wanted to add weight to the RB6 in the servo area and it's a bit tight to get weights around there / under the servo)

I've run the Savox 1251 for 18 months now in my 4wd, racing weekly indoors and out with no issues in the gears. There are a lot of racers running this servo at our club without problems.

Sanwa 971 is superb, waterproof, fast and precise. I upgraded from my KO and it feels much better.

The 801 is also very good (Just got one, not used it much yet)
